With over 25 years experience in the medical field, Dr. Tawfik Khoja has undertaken study in a variety of countries and educational institutions, including King Saud University, Riyadh, Royal College of General Practitioners London UK, Faculty of Public Health of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom, The Royal College of Physicians of London.
He has an extensive experience in developing and implementing Primary Health Care, Family Community Medicine, Quality Assurance, in health care facilities; in the design & delivery of training programs in Occupational Health & Safety, OHS program design and policy writing. Dr. Tawfik has experience in running an organization technically, administratively and financially, while dealing with the ministries, governmental organizations and public institutions.
He is currently the Director General of Executive Board, Health Ministers’ Council for Cooperation Council States and has recently received the Fellowship of The Royal College of Physicians, Internal Medicine, United Kingdom.

Linda Clark’s educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration (MHA) from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (BS Ed) as well, from Miami University in Oxford Ohio. She has been a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives for 20 years, and actively involved in local and national activities.
She has been working in healthcare since 1984 and has a diverse hospital experience having had the opportunity to work in various types of hospitals primarily in the South Eastern United States in progressively senior administrative roles which include:

- Operating Chief, Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE

She joined the Cleveland Clinic in 2008 and began working at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City as the Chief Operating Officer.
Dr. Manar Al Moneef

Dr. Manar Al-Moneef is the General Director of Health Care & Life sciences at the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), which is the government agency responsible for promoting investments in the Kingdom and improving its investment environment. At SAGIA, Dr. Al-Moneef is responsible for the creation of new health care initiatives, updating current laws and regulations and promoting investments in life sciences & Health care.
Prior to joining SAGIA, Dr. Al-Moneef was the Director of Molecular Pathology & Genetics in King Abdulaziz Medical City, National Guard Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During that time she evaluated different research projects which involved the development of a novel assay. She was also appointed as an assistant professor in King Saud University for Medical Studies.

Shiraaz Joosub Sidra Chief IT Architect

Shiraaz is a certified Enterprise Architect with 6 years of successful Project Management of H-I-S implementations in the Gulf Region including Saudi Arabia, U-A-E, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait. He is an Honors Pharmacy Graduate from South Africa with 16 years of experience in the fields of Hospital Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing and Registration, Retail Pharmacy, and Supply Chain Management and has worked as a National H-I-V / AIDS Programs Project Manager for the African continent.
He is currently completing his MBA studies with an IT focus and is the Chief IT Architect to the greenfield project Sidra Academic Medical and Research Center in Qatar.
Shiraaz’s experience with the functional and database design and development of world-class Clinical Information Systems has positioned him in providing visionary strategies to multiple HIS projects within the region and the globe and is leading the enterprise architecture initiative for Sidra.
Associate Professor Benjamin Ong

Associate Professor Benjamin Ong is the Chief Executive of the National University Health System (NUHS). He is also a senior consultant neurologist and Head of the Division of Neurology at the National University Hospital, and is an academic staff member of the Department of Medicine, the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore.
He qualified in Medicine from the National University of Singapore in 1981 and trained in Neurology in Singapore and the UK. His training in neurology included the China Medical Board and the Commonwealth UK Fellowships with attachments to the Institute of Neurology (UK) and the Institute for Molecular Medicine (Oxford, UK).
He continues to be involved in Neurology Specialist Training and has been active in applying IT and process improvement in hospital-based patient care delivery initially at the National University Hospital since 1998 and later for the National Healthcare Group healthcare cluster in Singapore. He is also involved in developing IT for healthcare nationally and for academic applications at NUHS. Professor Ong received the National Day Public Administration Medal (Silver) for his leadership contributions in 2009.
Professor Ong’s current principal role is to operationalise the tripartite mission of clinical excellence, medical education and relevant translational medical research at the National University Health System.
Professor Michael Thick, NHS UK, Chief Clinical Officer
Michael Thick qualified as a doctor in 1976 from Cambridge University, and trained as a junior doctor in London. Throughout his career he has been active in Health Informatics, having a particular interest in theoretical modelling as a means of understanding and then designing systems to support clinical activity. He was also Chair of the Clinical Communications Programme Board.
Until September 2006 he was Senior Medical Advisor to the Choose and Book and PACS Programmes, and he was then appointed as Chief Clinical Officer to Connecting for Health. His principle roles are to ensure that patient safety and clinical governance are core values within the National Programme for Information Technology. He maintains his clinical interests by researching “bench to bedside” technologies at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College; in particular the use of genomic technology for the prediction of diseases.

Dr. Ashraf Ismail

Dr. Ismail is the managing director of the JCI Middle East office located in Dubai. A physician with 20 years of international experience in hospital accreditation, healthcare quality management, performance improvement and development of human resources for health, his contributions in postgraduate quality education and training are well recognized. As an adjunct professor at George Mason University, School of Health and Human Services, he teaches a variety of quality courses for the certificate in quality and outcomes management. Dr. Ismail is a WHO consultant in accreditation and health care quality. In 2006, he was appointed as Strategic Planning Advisor to the Minister of Health in UAE to develop the new strategy of the health sector. As a quality consultant, he assists healthcare facilities through the accreditation process. While he was employed with USAID in Cairo, Egypt, he implemented the first National Quality Improvement Program in the Family Planning Clinics in Egypt.
Dr. Amr Mansour

Dr. Amr A. Mansour is part of the recent and ongoing movement of Arab physicians educating themselves on the global advances in the management of healthcare and disseminating their knowledge throughout the Middle East region. Amr has been educated and trained in the UK and US, holding an MBA in Healthcare from George Washington University as well as various other management degrees in healthcare.
Amr has advised several regional healthcare governments in making the transition to a private healthcare insurance model, developing Public Private Partnerships as well as restructuring government provider and regulator roles. In addition, Amr has worked with numerous regional and international private leading providers and investors developing their healthcare strategy.
Prior to his consulting career, Amr practiced Psychiatry at Behmen Hospital, one of the Middle East’s oldest and most recognized mental health institutions. In addition to his clinical experience at Behmen, Amr also led the hospital’s quality improvement initiatives.

Henrik Enström is the Managing Director of Skandinavisk Termoekonomi AB. Since 1999 he is deeply engaged in realizing large scale district cooling systems, thus responsible for design and realization of production plants at Kista (48 MW), Nimrod/Stockholm city (48 MW), Danderyd (6 MW), Arlanda Airport (9-25 MW), Hornsberg/Stockholm city (80 MW). Feasibility Study and pre-design for a coming 105 MW DC system in Stockholm. Henrik was appointed Technical System Manager for design, purchasing and installation of the first District Cooling System in the Netherlands. The system is located in Amsterdam and will serve clients with a total cooling demand of 60 MW. A member of the business delegation following Sweden’s prime minister visiting China and Japan in 2008, Henrik represented Swedish technology in district cooling and district heating. He was awarded "Heat Pump Technician of the Year", by SVEP in 1991, (The Swedish Heat Pump Association).
